My Tasting Notes: I tried this tequila at the Graduate in Davis, CA and tasted it out
of a Riedel glass. The tequila is clear in color. The Hornitos aromas consist of intense
fruit, spice, and floral aspects followed by moderate earth. On the lighter side, this
Plata has mild aromas of smoke. On the tongue, this tequila is mellow and has a thin
mouth feel. While the tequila has moderate agave flavor, it is sweet and has no
bitterness. The flavor of this tequila contains intense notes of fruit followed by
moderate agave, floral, and spice aspects. Deeper flavors of Hornitos Plata consist of
hints of earth. Upon finishing this tequila, there is a short-to-medium duration of flavor
and slightly numbing alcohol intensity.
