My Tasting Notes: I tried this tequila at the Graduate in Davis, CA and tasted it out
of a snifter glass.  The tequila is amber brown in color.  The Hornitos aromas consist of
intense fruit and floral aspects followed by moderate earth and caramel.  On the lighter
side, this Anejo has mild aromas of spice.  On the tongue, this tequila is mellow and
has a oily mouth feel.  While the tequila has moderate agave flavor, it is fairly sweet
and has only a hint of bitterness.  The flavor of this tequila contains intense notes of
earth, coffee, and caramel followed by moderate agave, floral, and wood aspects.
Deeper flavors of Hornitos Anejo consist of mild vanilla.  Upon finishing this tequila,
there is a medium duration of flavor and subtle numbing alcohol intensity.

Other Info: "Hornitos Anejo is the longest aged of the Hornitos family.  A truly
magnificent 100% agave tequila and world class spirit, Hornitos Anejo is aged for at
least 12 months in American white oak barrels.  The result is smoky, spicy depth that
offers exhilarating pleasure in just one sip.

It offers a delightful tension between rich agave flavors and sweet, toasted oak
notes.  Anejo’s complexity, depth and powerful, enticing flavors make it ideal for
savoring." -
