Other Info: This bottle is from 1984 and from what I have been told was only made
for one year.  The bottle is also sold with a black leather sleave that has the 1984 date
on it along with Regional's logo.  This is truly a rare bottle that I am proud to have in
my collection.

"In the shadow of Hacienda San Jose del Refugio is another Amatitán factory by the
name of 'La Regional'. The factory has been producing tequila since the mid 1970's and
apparently once produced the "Single Barrel" añejo in the original "Cactus" bottles for
Porfidio. "Regional" is the appropriately named, proprietary label of this distillery. Señor
Reifschneider, the owner and imbiber of this particular bottle has told me that this
relatively simply packaged añejo, though very inexpensive at least in Mexico, is actually
quite good." -
