In 1974, a group of visionaries: country people rooted as the agave to this our land,
gathered to prove out that they could make the best tequila of the region. Before
that, we planted our agave, harvested it and delivered it to the producers, but; with
the support of 36 farmers belonging to 7 countries, we formed our own company...the
best of the tequila region par excellence!
Now with over 30 years of life and only one Tequila, "Regional"; we have earned
quality and prestige, thanks to the tradition and experience of our people.
Other Info: This bottle has the date stamp of 9/9/2004 on the back label.
"In the shadow of Hacienda San Jose del Refugio is another Amatitán factory by the
name of 'La Regional'. The factory has been producing tequila since the mid 1970's and
apparently once produced the "Single Barrel" añejo in the original "Cactus" bottles for
Porfidio. "Regional" is the appropriately named, proprietary label of this distillery."
