Ocho Añejo - El Vergel 2007

Tequila Joe's Collection
My Tasting Notes: n/a

Info on the Back of the Bottle: "Single Estate" means all our agaves are
harvested from a single field and that they bear the personality of the soil and climate
unique to this location.

This is the 2008 Anejo.  It is our first Anejo and its agaves were harvested from our "El
Vergel" estate (The Orchard) that sits about 2,000 meters above sea level.  It was so
named for its humidity and fertile soil.  We used to grow peaches and limes here but
the land produces such sweet agaves we had no choice but to change.  This estate
appears in only 5,544 bottles (yours is numbered on the front).  The world is probably
a better place for this decision but we will let you decide.

There is only one Ocho.

Other Info: "The El Vergel field sits at 1,880 meters above sea level, is slightly hilly
and East oriented so it gets the early sunlight. The average weight of the piñas from
this field was 87 pounds and the sugar content was 26.7%, on line with the region
average." -
