Info on the Back of the Bottle: On the high plains of Jalisco at the foothills of
the majestic Sierra Madre mountains you will find the Herradura estate. It is here that
Herradura has been produced and bottled by the same family for five generations.
Herradura is made 100% from blue agave, all naturally with no additives. Only the
finest blue agave, harvested at their prime after nine to ten years of careful cultivation,
are used in Herradura. As a result, only a limited amount of Herradura can be bottled
each year to maintain this standard of excellence.
Herradura Anejo is the first officially designated "Anejo" exported to the U.S. Its rich
flavorful taste, created from the finest plants and two full years of aging, is treasured
by those who have sampled the legend...Tequila Herradura.
Other Info: In February of 2002, Herradura added a diffuser that many believe
changed the taste of their tequila. Thus, a lot of us are trying to buy the older bottles.
For those who do not know, you can tell how old a Herradura bottle is by reading the
date stamp. The date stamps are located on the back of the front label on each bottle.
By looking through the bottle from the back, you can read the date stamp. This
bottles is dated April 14, 2003 and is a pre-diffuser bottle.
