My Tasting Notes: The tequila is a darker yellow golden color and has an intense
earthy and floral aromas.  Once you get past the intensity of the nose, you can smell
moderate notes of fruit and vanilla.  On the tip of the tongue the tequila is mellow and
soft but yet has a moderate agave taste.  While the tequila has a low bitterness, it is
actually fairly sweet.  The flavor has intense agave and earthy attributes which are
followed by moderate floral flavors.  Lastly, there are mild flavors of fruit, vanilla, and
spicy accents.  The tequilas finish is a long duration of flavor followed by a numbing
alcohol feeling.

Info on the Back of the Bottle: "On the high plains of Jalisco, at the foothills of
the majestic Sierra Madre mountains you will find the Herradura estate.  It is here that
Herradura has been produced and bottled since 1870.

Herradura is made naturally from 100% blue agave, with no additives.  Only the finest
blue agave, harvested at their prime after years of careful cultivation, are used to
make Herradura.  As a result, only a limited amount of Herradura can be bottled each
year to maintain this standard of excellence.

Herradura Anejo is the first officially designated Anejo exported to the U.S.A.  Its rich,
flavorful taste, created from the finest agave plants and aged two years, is treasured
bu those who have tasted the legend...Tequila Herradura."

Other Info: The date stamp on the bottle is 30 AGO 2008.

"Made to satisfy the world’s finest palates

The magnificence of Herradura Anejo recreates the beauty of Hacienda San Jose del
Refugio and its much-heralded distillery.  Aged 25 months in white oak barrels, this
tequila achieves an uncommon refinement and finish.

A delight to the senses, every sip fulfills the promise made by its enticing aroma.
Agave, wood, vanilla, caramel, cinnamon, and hints of pear soothe the palate with
distinguished flavors.” –
