According to Gran Centenario, "New white oak barrels play a leading role in making
Gran Centenario Plata, the "prince" of white tequilas. The tequila rests in these
barrels until its characteristic aroma and persistent, uniform flavor have been obtained,
along with the unique silver-toned color from which it derives its name. The smoky
agave tones of its aroma transport one back to the ancient stone ovens in which the
heart of the blue agave has been transformed into a spirited beverage. Because of its
