Info on the Back of the Bottle: Gran Centenario Azul, tequila that’s name shows
the pride of its origin and is quality 100% agave azul. It forms part of the line of Gran
Centenario and has all the force of an agave that is risked; it is anxious to leave the
resting of 2 months in casks of white oak and to take the reins of its own world. An
exciting drinking proposal that becomes an inspiration for whom it devises, a
temptation for whom it devises, and a temptation for whom it knows. A tequila with
appetite for life.
Other Info: The book Guide to Tequila, edited by Alberto Ruy-Sanchez and Margarita
de Orellana, provides the following information about Gran Centenario Azul Reposado:
"The tradition of tequila has crossed borders and also generations. This fact was the
inspiration for Gran Centenario Azul, a Reposado tequila tailored to the new
generation.
As it ages for two months in charred American oak barrels, Gran Centenario Azul
acquires a bouquet with banana, apple, vanilla, woody, and floral notes. Its straw-
yellow color and slightly bitter flavor make it an ideal beverage for any social
gathering. It is smooth enough to be taken neat, but flavorful enough to be mixed in a
cocktail like the Charro Azul or Paloma.
Tequila Azul marks a return to the traditional tequila, with a novel presentation that
conserves the robust essence of this beverage."
