Info on the Back of the Bottle: The man who, through generations has
mastered the art of selecting, and harvesting the best blue agave available to convert
it into this fine, smooth Tequila.

In honor of this legendary figure we name our tequila: El Jimador.

Other Info: The bottles date stamp reads September 1, 2001.

"El Jimador is a product of Tequila Herradura. Though El Jimador is considered to be the
companies secondary label it's popularity is well established in Mexico and has
continued to rise here in the U.S. The older is labeled 100% percent agave but be
aware that Herradura has cut back the El Jimador label to 51% agave. This is definitely
a sad commentary on the industry as Tequila Herradura had previously never made
anything but 100% agave tequila.

NOTE: ( 06/2002 ) The El Jimador Blanco and Reposado currently being stocked are
mixed tequila. The bottles look exactly like the 100% agave product with the phrase
"100% de Agave" now noticeably absent from the label. The Internet retailers above
currently list El Jimador Blanco but you can be sure it is now the mixed version, so keep
that in mind.

If "100% Agave" or a similar phrase it is not designated clearly on the label it is tequila
mixto." -
