My Tasting Notes: The tequila is a golden brown color and has intense fruit and
earth aromas.  Once you get past the intensity of the nose, you can smell moderate
notes of caramel and smoke.  On the tip of the tongue the tequila is mellow and soft
but yet has a full intensity of taste and feels heavy and oily in the mouth.  While the
tequila has a low sweetness, it is actually has no bitterness.  Now onto flavor.  The
flavor has intense agave, and floral attributes which are followed by moderate fruit and
mild vanilla, smoke, earth, and caramel.  The tequilas finish is a long duration of flavor
followed by a numbing alcohol feeling.

Info on the Back of the Bottle: "In 1880, Don Diego Orozco began to cultivate
the first Blue Agave plants on the virgin soils of the highlands of Jalisco.  At the
celebration of the 50th anniversary of his Hacienda in Arandas, he entertained his
guests with a specially selected reserve tequila he had carefully created.  His delighted
friends named it "El Charro" as a tribute to Don Diego's noble character and fine
equestrian arts.

Compañia Tequilera de Arandas continues this tradition .  El Charro Anejo is a limited
edition tequila, superbly smooth with a balance taste of 100% pure blue agave."

Other Info: The El Charro neck tag states, "Just as the Charro celebrates the fine
art of horsemanship and proud traditions of Mexico's past, so this distinctive reserve
tequila represents the pinnacle of the distiller's art.  Aged over two years in oak barrels
after double distillation, it offers exceptional smoothness and a distinctive taste to be
savored like a fine cognac.  Handcrafted from 100 percent pure blue agave, it achieves
the perfect balance of agave overtones finished with a subtle hint of oak and vanilla."
