My Tasting Notes: On this date I tried this tequila by doing a blind tasting at Zocalo
using a snifter.  This tequila is a pale yellow color and has intense aromas of earth and
floral.  There are also moderate aromas of fruit and spice followed by mild vanilla and
lime/grass.  A mellow taste on the tip of the tongue leads to a low sweetness with a
hint of bitterness.  The Don Julio Reposado flavor contains intense floral and earth
flavors with moderate agave and fruit.  The tequila also has mild intensities of vanilla
and caramel followed by hints of spice.  Don Julio Reposado finishes with a
medium-to-long duration of flavor and a slightly numbing alcohol feeling.

Info on the Back of the Bottle: "Its careful maturation in oak barrels for 8
months imparts this tequila with warm and smooth flavor.  For over six decades, Don
Julio has been crafting Mexico's finest tequila.  Just one sip of this handcrafted tequila
shows that it is a labor of love."

Other Info: "Don Julio Tequila is named after the founder, Don Julio Gonzalez
Estrada. He revolutionized Reposado style tequila production in Mexico.

Don Julio is the No. 1 choice among tequila connoisseurs in Mexico. Don Julio Gonzales
is one of Mexico's most renowned premium tequila makers. His tequila, made in the
same way since 1942, is his masterwork.

Don Julio Tequila Reposado is said to be silky smooth with a compelling combination of
light cinnamon, honey and herbaceous flavors balanced by a lightly smoky taste and
dark chocolate notes. Aged for just under a year, Don Julio Reposado is available in the
United States along with Don Julio Blanco and Don Julio Añejo." -
