My Tasting Notes: The tequila is a golden brown color and has intense floral and
earth aromas.  Once you get past the intense nose, you can smell moderate notes of
fruit and spice followed by mild vanilla and caramel.  On the tip of the tongue the
tequila is mellow and soft but yet has a full intensity of taste.  While the tequila has
low bitterness, it is actually fairly sweet.  Now onto flavor.  The flavor has intense
agave, earth, and floral attributes which are followed by mild vanilla, spice, fruit, and
caramel.  The tequilas finish is an medium duration of flavor followed by a tingly alcohol
feeling.

Other Info: These 3rd generation bottles from the new distillery were released in
2006 and this particular bottle is from 2006 as well.

The bottles neck tag reads, "Clase Azul tequila is the fusion between the finest 100%
Blue Agave tequila and the most beautiful handcrafted Mexican bottle.  "A true ultra
premium tequila selection."  Each styled bottle is hand made and hand painted which
makes each piece unique.  Clase Azul has its roots in the lands of Tequila, Jalisco,
where the best Blue Agaves in the world are harvested.  This produces an exceptional
tequila with a unique flavor, softness, and aroma."

In addition,
Tequila.net states that "Clase Azul is an ultra premium, 100% Weber Blue
Agave, Reposado Tequila. Clase Azul tequila is the perfect marriage between the finest
Tequila and a beautiful handcrafted, hand-painted Talavera carafe.

It is produced and bottled in the Jesus Maria region of Arandas, Jalisco, MX from 100%
Tequilana Weber Agave. Clase Azul is aged for a minimum of eight months in small oak
barrels. We are using a blend of Bourbon, Cognac, and Sherry casks in the aging
process. This aging period and the use of these different barrels differentiates Clase
Azul and gives it an award winning taste profile. It has distinct, smooth flavors and
aromas, as well as an excellent balance over the palate.

The bottle style is called "Talavera", which was introduced to Mexico by Spanish
artisans of the Colonial period. Known as "majolica" in Spain."
