My Tasting Notes: I tried this tequila at my home and tasted it in a Riedel. With a
yellow golden color, this tequila has intense floral aromas with moderate earth, fruit,
and wood. Other aromas include mild intensities of spice. The tequila has a
thin-to-medium mouth feel and on the first sip has a low level of sweetness with no
bitterness. Intense floral flavors are followed by moderate-to-intense notes of wood
and agave. With a medium-to-long duration of flavor, tastes of moderate earth and
mild fruit and spice bring this tequila to a tingly, numbing finish.

The first edition Clase Azul bottles were truly breath taking to look at but were plagued
by design flaws. The bottle does not have a pour spout like the newer designs and
thus was extremely difficult to pour. Not to mention, La Cofradia has long had issues
with leaking corks. Due to these design flaws and of course a distillery change in later
years, there have been 4 different bottles of Clase Azul Reposado.
