Agave tequila first arrived in the United States in 1983, it created a new category
within the tequila industry. Chinaco was the first of the true super-premium tequilas to
come to the USA. Immediately Chinaco built a reputation for itself among the true
connoisseurs of great tequila. After the distillery was closed in the late 1980's,
Chinaco became the most sought after tequila ever produced. Since then, many other
tequilas have attempted to emulate its success. Now, under the guidance of the four
sons of the founder, Guillermo Gonzalez, La Gonzalena distillery is once again
producing legendary tequila in very limited quantities.
Chinaco Anejo tequila is the crowning achievement of La Gonzalena. It is carefully
aged for up to 4 years in government sealed and certified oak barrels, enriching the
tequila with the characteristics and elegance of a fine cognac. This rare enticing tequila
