My Tasting Notes: This tequila was probably the hardest to rate of any tequila and
had the strongest nose that I have ever encountered in a tequila.  The tequila is a
yellow golden color and has an intense floral aroma.  Once you get past the intensity
of the nose, you can smell moderate notes of vanilla, caramel, and fruit.  On the tip of
the tongue the tequila is mellow and soft but yet has a strong intensity of taste and
feels heavy and oily in the mouth.  While the tequila has a medium to low bitterness, it
is actually fairly sweet.  Now onto flavor.  The flavor has intense to moderate agave,
earth, and floral attributes which are followed by moderate spice and mild vanilla and
caramel.  The tequilas finish is an extremely long duration of flavor followed by a very
numbing alcohol feeling.

Other Info: Chinaco Negro Lot #15 was released in late 2006.

"When Chinaco 100% Blue Agave tequila first arrived in the United States in 1983, it
created a new category within the tequila industry.  Chinaco was the first of the true
super-premium tequilas to come to the USA.  Immediately Chinaco built a reputation for
itself among the true connoisseurs of great tequila.  After the distillery was closed in
the late 1980's, Chinaco became the most sought after tequila ever produced.  Since
then, many other tequilas have attempted to emulate its success.  Now, under the
guidance of the four sons of the founder, Guillermo Gonzalez, La Gonzalena distillery is
once again producing legendary tequila in very limited quantities.

The Mystery of Chinaco Negro is in the marvelous complexity and deep, alluring colors
of this rare, 5 year old 100% Agave Extra Anejo Tequila.  Lost in the cellars of the
Chinaco Distillery were 12 casks of aging Tequila, 7 of which were chosen by Master
Distiller German Gonzalez as worthy of the distinction: CHINACO NEGRO.

Each bottle represents an individual cask selection, and is labeled with a unique lot
number and signed by Master Distiller.  Collect the entire series and unravel the
mystery!" -Chinaco Negro Neck Tag
