Other Info: "Arette Unique is one of Mexico’s premier Tequilas. The name Arette is
derived from Arete, a horse ridden by Lt. Col. Humberto Mariles in the 1948 Olympic
Games in London, where he won double gold medals in the equestrian events. This
was a feat unequalled by any other Mexican sportsman. To celebrate this victory Arette
Tequila was born. Arette Unique is distilled at the Tequileria El Llano, one of the oldest
Tequilerias in the town of Tequila in the state of Jalisco. It is located in the heart of the
city and was founded by the Orendain family in 1900. El Llano produces a superior
Tequila in limited production. Arette Unique is smooth, yet full of character. The water
used in distillation comes from the volcano of Tequila and gives the finished product its
“unique” personality. Today the process is still overseen by members of the Orendain
family.” –
