My Tasting Notes: With a clear color, 1800 Silver has moderate aromas of floral and
smoke.  Mild aromas consist of earth and fruit.  The tequila has a bitterness to it and a
sweet aftertaste.  Initial flavors are intense agave and floral.  There are also moderate
earthy, spicy, and smoky flavors.  A tingly alcohol intensity and a medium duration of
flavor bring this tequila experience to an end.

Info on the Back of the Bottle: Made from 100% Blue Agave, double distilled for
incredible smoothness, this Silver Tequila represents a modern blend of artistry and
quality.

To celebrate this, we have commissioned 1800 "Essential" Artists from around the
world to decorate our bottles.  These are limited to 1800 bottles of each design.

CHRIS DEAN
Chris Dean’s synthesis of offbeat imagery and stereoscopic process have brought the
nostalgic medium of lenticular pictures to a new level of artistry.  The 40 year old
Detroit native began working with stereo images during his time at San Jose State
University in the 1990s and sees a future of artistic opportunity for those working with
related technologies.  Humor is seen as a force for good in Dean’s work, which often
reveals itself through the user interaction required by lenticular imagery.  The odd
historical context of lenticular work is embraced by Dean who often references popular
culture himself.  “While not underselling meaning, I consider fun to be a primary
concern,” states Dean.  Dean currently lives in the small community of Ferndale, north
of Detroit, with his wife Heather and children Jasper and Otto.

Other Info: These bottles were released in 2009.

“Some say art is “unessential,” that we can live without man-made beauty, that
anything which does not have a “practical function” is a superfluous luxury item.  We
strongly disagree.  Not only do we believe that hand-crafted things are important, as
they enrich our days and celebrate life, but we believe that the creation of art and art
appreciation are among the greatest reasons to be alive.  At 1800 Tequila, we believe
that art is essential.

In our search to find 1800 artists who are creating the world’s most vital work, we cast
the net wide.  We are seeking artists from diverse backgrounds and geographies, who
aren’t afraid to follow their own path and create inspired pieces which reflect their
independent vision.  From canvases hanging in the hottest galleries, to the wildest
array of untraditional mediums, from paint to pixels, the next great 1800 essential
artwork might be found practically anyplace, from the streets, to a monitor.

Our goal is to share 1800 essential artworks with the world.  Winning pieces will be
shown in outdoor installations, on limited edition bottles, and on custom-crafted kickz.

Art is everywhere.  It is in every form.  It is very much “essential.”” -
